Children's Writings Volume 3
What makes me feel sad ?
Watching films with unhappy endings,
Being left out of games,
Listening to some types of music,
Seeing animals in pain.
Seeing a television report on children suffering,
Remembering my great granny's funeral.
Watching someone cry,
Missing friends who have moved away.

My Eyes.
When my eyes have tears they fall onto my cheek.
People say are you sad - no my eyes just have a leak.
My eyes can do tricks - they do a little dance.
Looking up and down they turn in just by chance.

and Philips mummy ........
I
see a heartbeat the doctor said to mum
Oh goodness me there's more than one.
Two heartbeats pumping on the tv,
Boys or girls we will have to wait and see.
Suddenly they were born - called Andy and Phil,
The noisy babies had a tired mum called Jill.
Philip slept very well Andrew cried a lot.
They used to love a million dummies lying in their cot.
Two baby boys what a shock.
Loads of blue jumpers but no pinck frocks.
When I pushed my babies in their pram - they adored blowing bubbles.
Passersby by would look and say - now there's double trouble.
The Homeless Man.
His home is a doorway on a busy street,
With a sleeping bag for heat when it is time to sleep.
I wonder where might come my meal,
Used to this - no big deal.
He's dirty and scruffy with holes in his clothes.
His face needs a wash and his shoes need soles.
he begs for money just to get food.
Nothing left over for anything good.
He once had a wife and kids to love.
But this came along through no fault of his own.
So the next time you see a homeless man.
Remember it could happen to you - give them what you can.
