614 (LYDNEY) SQUADRON ATC
ATC Activities

ATC activities are many and varied. Below is a list of just some of the things that you might get to do during your time in the Air Training Corps. Sounds great, doesn't it! Well, it is!
Not sure about the uniform, the marching and the discipline? These are all part of the Air Training Corps and we encourage cadets to be smart, proud of their Squadron and proud of the Corps. Cadets get taught how to salute and how to wear their beret (and when). They also get lessons in many subjects including map reading, navigation and aircraft handling. You can take exams, which qualify you for more of the activities listed below. The opportunities can be enormous, but like everything else in life, the more you put into it, the more you get out!
(I know - I joined the ATC and did many of the things listed below. Guess what - I became an airline pilot, thanks to the ATC!)
