Fantastic Carved Oak Case Bracket Clock
Probably made by the German company Winterhälder und Hoffmier (I had one the same years ago with the W&H stamp). The movement  is unusual in having 2 winding holes but strikes and chimes, a cam being used to move the pin barrel for striking the hour. The case is solid oak carved in the classical taste and fitted with a brass dial with a separate engraved silvered brass chapter ring. This clock oozes quality and has been fully restored in our workshop. Height is approx. 17". Circa 1890.

Highly unusual being American design but made in Portuagual! I can not find any reference to this in my books but this looks like a late Ansonia design with rack strike and a seperate alarm mechanism. It looks great with a gilt pendulum and dial pan. The dial has been refinished and the movement is in perfect working order. Height 23.5", circa 1900.

Black Marble Castle Clock

This most unusual clock is an English case made with marble from Ashford in Derbyshire.
The case looks like it has been hand-carved from a solid piece of marble! in fact most of it has been with just the top and bottom sections being cemented on.

The movement is a French Japy Freres of good quality which would have been fitted by the retailer of the clock. Altogether a most delightful clock. circa 1860. In full working order and the case is in excellent condtion.

Dimensions are 13.5" high, 5" deep and 10 3/4 "
