African Christians in Europe
Gerrie ter Haar
The book is a result of several year's research on
the African religious diaspora in Europe today. It includes case studies
of Africans living in the Amsterdam district of Bijlmer. It will be of
interest to:
a) Students of African religion in various parts
of the world, both in Religious Studies/Theology and Social Sciences
Departments. In case of the latter, religion is becoming a subject of
generally increasing importance, especially in anthropology.
b) Students of 'globalisation' and cultural cross-fertilisation,
globalisation being one of the major themes in social science today.
c) Those in US Afro-American studies interested in
the theme of the African diaspora, a popular subject in many
universities in North America.
The book will be of interest to a wider educated
public and will also appeal to those interested in questions of
international migration and related global trends.
