Thank you for accessing my web pages. First a short introduction.
I am a self employed TV and Video service engineer living in Bracknell, Berkshire, about 35 miles west of London. I am also a radio amateur, callsign G3YMC, and have had an active interest in the hobby for 35 years. This site contains information on all of these activities as follows.
Although I have operated on most amateur radio bands up to 70cm, my main interests have always been 160m and hf cw operation. A few years ago I was active on the 136kHz band, and I have included a number of pages about my activities and general information on the band. I am no longer active there, and much if the information is somewhat dated, but kept for reference.
I am operational occasionally on the UK 5MHz experimental allocation. See my Fivemegs pages.
I am also active on the UK 501-504kHz experimental band. See my 500kHz pages.
My main amateur activities at present are on HF CW working QRP with an Elecraft K2 transceiver. See my QRP pages, which I hope will show you how easy it is to achieve excellent results in amateur radio with low power CW.
I am the Treasurer of our local amateur radio club, Bracknell Amateur Radio Club. See our current programme. Read all about our adventures in NFD! We are always pleased to see new members, whether local to the area or not.
