Uncovered and Uncovered
Messageboard This has been the main (unoffiical) website for years
- as part of the Rivals group of sites. The popular messageboard/forum
is the place all Darlo fans turn to first for news, gossip, rants
and a bit of light relief.
Official Darlington FC
A completely revamped official site, which at first glance is easier
to navigate and less clunky and corporate than the Premium TV sites.
It has also introduced an online shop, which was much needed. QuakerWorld
Subscription-only service from the Official Site
people - live commentary and goal highlights, if you have £25 a year to spare.
Loidland is another messageboard, which is easier to navigate than the new, more clumsy Rivals version. You have to register to post or read messages.
The
Tinshed This could be wound up soon, it's just a messageboard.
The webmaster Kevin secured a transfer to the official site at the
start of the season and is doing a great job there instead.
Darlington
Fans Online is looking to present opinion from a cross-section
of fans and promote the club.
Darlington Supporters' Trust All
the news and info for the Supporters' Trust. Brilliant, colourful and
sharply-turned prose - as maintained by us, as a favour!
Darlington Supporters' Club
Comprehensive site with all the Supporters' Club news and details of the
away coach arrangements.
Darlington Disabled Supporters'
Group Set up in the 2005-2006 season and run under the umbrella of the Trust, this aims to assist and group together disabled fans and families, with away travel one of the ambitions.
Virtual
Quakers Free-to-join e-group with 200 or more fans. Plenty of
DAFTS are members of this message group.
Darlington Vital
Football Part of the Vital football network, this new fans' site was
set up by two keen supporters in December 2005. It is being kept up to
date with news and also features an interactive fans' map, where you can
plot where you come from. The pop-ups are a bit annoying but the site
itself is at least being updated.
Darlo Tykes
Webpage of the Northallerton-based Darlo Tykes
supporters' group, running trips to matches from north Yorkshire.
northeastfootball.co.uk
Website rounding up the latest news from the main clubs in the North
East - from Newcastle to Hartlepool. And Darlo of course. Run by a
Darlo fan, so expect decent coverage. Simple and tidy design, very
easy to navigate.
Quakers Mad
Taken over from The Tinshed as the "alternative" site
to Rivals or the official site for general news. A little untidy but updated.
Part of the series of sites, keeps things simple. Regular features include
Mark Proctor's Proc's Tickle and The Magic Sponge with Paul Gough.
BBC
Darlington text commentaryIf ever stuck in
an internet cafe abroad, desperate to follow the match. The language is
a little robotic, but it has all the basic facts within minutes of it
happening "live."

Supporters
Direct The site of the Supporters' Trust movement
including links. BBC Football
Football news from BBC Online. Football 365 Mix of news and
humour, plenty of hits. Do I sound old when I say it's not as good as
it was and the T-shirt range is now the best bit?
Soccernet Worldwide
footie site but there is also a Darlington page if you hunt for it.
Football
Books A site devoted to football books, as the name suggests,
with not only a useful A-Z, reviews but links to buy them (where available).
Danger Here Quirky
and funny Irish football site, with mickey taken out of TV commentators,
managers and the like Groundtastic Online
details of the fanzine for stadium-lovers and serious ground-hoppers Homes of Football
Photographer Stuart Clarke's website, devoted to his journeys around the

Ale What a good idea! A Bristol Rovers fan published
some written guides to real ale places for football fans for the 2005/2006,
has updated editions for 2006-2007 and this is a smaller online version,
work in progress. A tough job, but someone has to do it...
Football Things Football fans museum, based in Italy, aimed at collecting scarves, souvenirs and memorabilia from supporters worldwide.
FootballGroundGuide
Comprehensive online guide to all league grounds and some non-league.
Well-produced and good photos. FSF Ground
Guide The Football Supporters' Federation ground guide, which
aims to have contibutions from more than 160 clubs, including us
- but is a little short so far. The FSF meanwhile is the campaigning fans organisation.
Mike
Floate's Football Ground Frenzy Mike takes some great photos
of Football League and non-league stadiums on his travels - the
calendars are worth buying at the turn of the year too.
Played
In Britain English Heritage project dedicated to preserving the
best traditions of our sporting heritage and architecture. WSC - One Touch Football
A basic online front for When Saturday Comes with message board Soccerlinks As
it says - and plenty of them Football Transfers.info
Might settle a few bets - a database dedicated to stats, rumour and movement
of players and managers SoccerStats.com Another

or conceded and past meetings between sides Nationwide
League Official - Div 2 Tarted-up official site
for the Football League with club news and info. PFAThe
Professional Footballers' Association site, free regstration. Includes
a find-an-available-player search engine.
We're not able to publish the fixtures because it's "intellectual
copyright," though it's us poor buggers who have to do the travelling!
If you think it's downright silly that public information can't
be shared in the age of cyberspace, a campaign
and petition have been started. We don't publish the fixtures
here, because frankly we can't be a@@ed any more, especially doing
all those HTML tables. Football will die on its knees with all this
stupidity and noses in the trough from those who don't care.
Bottom
Of The Barrel board Discussion forum for
fans of Div Three clubs mainly, inc lots of off-footie topics.
Can be a bit cliquey, but funny.
Ciderspace An unofficial Yeovil
Town site but included here because it's so darned good and has lots of
links and info about other clubs.
Cod
Almighty Grimsby webzine gives most independent sites a battering for wit and
originality.
The
Third Dimension fanzine Web-zine of Third Division news, run by Darlo
fans. 3rdWorld
RivalsGood Div 3-wide Rivals site for keeping
up with club news and a decent enough message forum.
We
Will Follow is a site aimed at bringing together fans and supporters
clubs to offer and request lifts to games (totally free, once registered), with other club and travel links.
Football
Hotels A good idea but frankly it's duffly (cheaply) produced,
and is merely a front for another of those hotel-finding search
engines which pop up too easily on the internet. You're better off
trying local tourist information offices and websites - links on
our away guides.
