Virginia lake has forty four swims and is the largest lake on our site at
25acres. The other lakes on this ticket are Pingree's Pool at 4 acres, Pat's
Pool at 1 acre, George's Water at ¾ acre and Reed Lake at 1½
acres. We aslo have another small water of 2/3 acre lake which can be used as a runs water.
Virginia Lake In May 2011 one of the stockies that were introduced into the lake three or four years ago was caught at over 21lb and many are coming out at around 17lb. They are obviously doing really well and anyone who has caught one of these will know what stunning fish they are. These attractive looking fish will complement the gene pool in this lake and will hopefully soon themselves be making thirties. 2011 saw several good thirties come out including two different commons of over 35lb. We are looking forward to many of the top twenties young fish breaking through the thirty pound barrier this year and are hoping for some of the big cats to put in an appearance. Fish that we have grown on towards 20lb will continue to be stocked into Virginia in 2012.

Pat's Pool and George's Water
These are both good stalking waters with carp up to mid twenties. Both lakes offer great coarse fishing with some cracking tench and large roach and rudd. Pat's Pool
George's Water
Reed Lake Reed Lake adjoins Virginia and is fishable along a fairly short stretch but there are some superb fish to be had from here. It is possible to fish Virginia and put a rod or two out into Reed Lake. You may be surprised at what comes out of this piece of water. Some good carp have been out in 2011. Reed Lake also provides excellent coarse and pike fishing. It has provided some excellent pike sport during this recent winter period.
Pingree's Pool There are carp of twenty pounds plus in this lake and possibly thirties. It is an attractive lake that is very lightly fished and often favoured more for the lovely coarse fish that are in it. Wels catfish were stocked in 2001 and have done well. They should now, in 2012, be well into the 50lb plus category. There are also grass carp in this lake and it is well worth a session to discover it's true potential. The colours of the carp in this lake are truly stunning.
