News from the Training Day

Olympic Training is run by the East Invicta ASA for affiliated club swimmers who have been placed first or second in their BAGCAT categories, along with swimmers who achieve a SE Region qualifying time.
 

Olympic Training Day – Crystal Palace

This year The Association have decided that the Olympic Training day will actually take place on Sunday January 15th 2012 at Crystal Palace . Swimmers will have a land training sessions and 4hrs long course training in the pool. There will be a charge of £10 per participant as a contribution to the cost which as you can appreciate is significantly underwritten by East Invicta.  It will be hosted by Chris Cook full details appear below.

Swimmers will be selected to take part on the following basis:

  1. Top 2 swimmers in each individual age group. (9, 10, 11,12,13,14, 15+) 28 swimmers in total, being determined by the Bagcat results as set out in Championship Conditions rule 15(g).
  2. Any swimmer achieving SER qualifying times. Their ages being taken as at the date of the 2012 champion ships but using the 2011 qualifying times. Club coaches are requested to submit details of their swimmers who have achieved the required standard by November 1st.   
     
There may be a number of places left over for athletes who have not qualified by right. These places will be allocated to all member clubs, who will be responsible for their allocation.
