Our charges for repairs/upgrades
Our rates are very competitive.
We only charge £15 per half hour and also incorporate a
maximum charge for labour of £90 on any single repair/upgrade.
Many other companies charge by the full hour and also have no maximum charge for labour. This means that you could end up with a bill for more than your computer is worth! We will give you a quote - and stick to it. If we think your computer is going to cost more to repair than it is worth, we will tell you. Then you can tell us how you would like to proceed.
We will be completely honest with you from start to finish.
The reloading of a Windows operating system can take anything from an hour and a
half. This depends on the amount of assistance you can provide in the form
of recovery & driver disks which you will have been supplied with when you
purchased your new computer system. The length of time a job takes also
depends upon whether you require any personal data saving. We will also
load ALL the latest Microsoft updates on Windows XP installations to keep your
system secure. We will also install some free utilities to keep your
system running smoothly.
We are able to remove virus, adware & spyware from your computer. These items can slow your system down to a crawl. We will then tell you how you can stop these problems from happening again - therefore saving you money! However, depending upon how badly your computer is infected, it may however be necessary to reload your computer software from scratch. Should this be the case, your system will return to you as you bought it (depending again upon the disks you provide us with!) This also means that you could lose ALL data on your hard drive - including those precious photographs!
If your system has a CD rewriter or DVD rewriter USE IT! Make regular backups of any personal & important data. You never know when your computer will get infected by virus', adware or spyware. There is also a chance that your computer hard drive will fail. If you have no backup, you could lose all those precious photographs you are storing on your disk drive.
Callouts
We can also visit your home or office to perform upgrades,
repairs & perform standard & wireless broadband installations. In
some cases, it may be necessary to take your system back to our workshops to
complete any repairs or upgrades. You will not be charged for the return
of your computer for the return callout!
We make a small £30 charge per callout and then onsite rates are the same as
those inhouse.
We make a callout charge to pay for fuel & insurance costs. It is also
at your convenience!
