There still exists a newsagent by the name of Fielding, but is not connected to the previous Fielding who produced these fine postcard views of the surrounding area c.1905 onward. Little is known of the originator of these cards and how many were produced. Naturally, we would be pleased to hear of and/or recieve details of other cards by this publisher.

East End Siege - portrait view - 2 views of Scots Guards ready for the appearance of the assassins Coles Ward , London hospital - view across ward with patients and nurses #3083. 4. Out-Patients Department, London Hospital Statue of Queen Alexandra - portrait view - the first and only statue of Queen Alexandra, London Hospital This firm was founded by Alexander Bloom about 1896, opposite the London Hospital in Whitechapel Road, printing cap labels and songsheets. By 1908 the firm was producing postcards from #7 Houndsditch. Comic cards formed a large part of the firm's output. Many topical cards were produced, including those of the east end siege photographed by Alexander Bloom himself. The firm apears to have ceased in the 1930s.
