Ya
está: volvimos a las 23h00 a Prestwick. De la parte de los tres
otros profesores me gustaría darles las gracias a los 23 estudiantes
que han participado en la visita a Mallorca.
Throughout
the visit our students have kept a diary in Spanish and English. They've
allowed us to share a few thoughts with visitors to the site for our final
day's entry. Read on to find out what the students really thought about
the visit...
Dawn:
"From
the first moment I stepped into my room there was a good feel about
the place and I've loved the whole experience. I've loved this week
and would come back like a shot."
Roslyn:
"I've
had a great week. I thought it would be all work work work but it wasn't.
We did work hard, though! I'll be glad to get home and get a good night's
kip but I'll miss this place and all the people."
It
was a bit ironic that it took us 7 days to find this centro de ocio
familiar about 5 minutes from the hotel! Here Hugh shows off his
footballing skills with Ashley and Anthony.

Natalie:
"At
first I was dreading going into schools and talking Spanish but it was
actually really fun. My favourite bits were when we went shopping cos
all the shops were fantastic - Laura and I had a field day in Mango
and Zara."
Craig:
"The
trips to the two schools were really enlightening and they showed me
how lucky we are. When I was teaching the little first years in Son
Pacs it was brilliant because they were interested in what I was telling
them."
Laura:
"I've
had a great laugh - probably never laughed so much in one week in my
life and it's been one of the best times I've had abroad. I've loved
being able to speak to Spanish people face to face."
Cesca,
Corrie, Lynsey and Nicole at the pool table.

Lisa:
"...My
worst moment hasn't happened yet. It will be tonight when I have to
say goodbye to the 22 people I've become friendly with this week."
Nicole:
"I
would say that my Spanish has improved and now I feel more confident
in speaking and writing the language."
Lynsey:
"Everybody
was so relaxed with each other as if we had all known each other since
primary school. I have thoroughly enjoyed my week and can't wait to
get my photos developed. I don't want to go home!"
Christine
and Toni after their game of pool.

Claire:
"I
really enjoyed exchanging email addresses and hope to keep in touch
with some of the Spanish people I met."
Christine:
"All
the people we've met have been very friendly and really appreciate us
trying to speak their language. Our many visits have also been very
educational and fun because we have had a taste of Spanish culture and
visited some amazing places."
Hayley:
"I
feel as if my Spanish has definitely improved while being here. The
group work at night has helped me to become more familiar with preterite
and imprefect tenses."
We
were working hard! Even on the way home everyone was working on their
diaries!

Kathleen:
"When
I first heard about the trip I must admit I did need a little persuasion
but I'm so glad I came. I would definitely do it otra vez."
Anthony:
"I
have got to say that the teachers were absolutely fantastic as they
were more your friends than teachers. I don't know how I can go back
to calling Hugh "Mr McCormack". It was the best school trip
I've ever been on."
Marie-Claire
took the opportunity to do some French revision on the plane!

Marie-Claire:
"I
have learned a lot of good Spanish phrases and after the street survey
my confidence grew as people could understand me and I could understand
them."
Catriona:
"I
enjoyed going to Sóller and Sineu because it gave us a chance
to see what life was like outside the centre of Palma."
The
journey home.

Ashley:
"I'm
so glad I got the chance to come here - it's been a great experience.
I've had such a laugh here with all the group and I've got some great
memories. I'm really glad I had the chance to practise and improve my
Spanish. It's been great!"
Vivienne:
"The
highlight of my week was getting to help out in a first year English
class. The kids were eager to find out all about Scotland and were really
sweet. I think they were really impressed that I knew the Las Ketchup
dance too! In the end I swapped my bracelet with a wee girl for her
necklace and have been receiving emails asking me to become her new
teacher!"
"Would
all passengers kindly take their seats for landing?"

Una
última foto de todo el grupo.

"muchas gracias" for your support and emails.
