The
28-kilometre train journey from Palma to Sóller dips and cuts
through the mountains and fertile valleys of the Serra de Tramuntana.
There are various trains each day from Palma to Sóller, but only
one in the morning is dubbed the tren turístico. This
simply means it stops for five minutes to allow passengers to take photos
from the viewpoint at the Mirador Pujol d'En Banja. Click
here to see the train journey.
We'll
spend some time in Sóller and then head down to Port de Sóller
on the tram. We're hoping for a fairly lazy Sunday and we'll have a
walk around the town and get the chance to comprar postales
and tomar un café. Lunch will be un bocadillo,
hopefully sitting in the sun!
We'll
head back towards Sóller around 16:00-17:00 and then make our
way towards the station to return to Palma. We'll return to the hotel
by bus from the station.
Dinner
will be around 8:30 in the hotel and we'll work on the preparation of
our encuesta after dinner.
