OCRC Fixture List 2002

UPDATE! We have arranged a long range shoot on Saturday afternoon, 10th August, 900 and 1000 yards, first shot goes down the range at 13:30.

Below is the fixture list for the current season. Given enough interest, we can arrange other Club shoots, we have often been able to arrange something in August for example, and we may be invited to take part in other events organised by the Surrey Rifle Association. From the beginning of 1999 onwards and in order to harmonize with the Army at Pirbright, the NRA has set normal summer shooting times as 08.30 am to 12.30 pm and 13.30 pm to 17.30 pm. These can exceptionally be adjusted by the NRA but we must abide by whatever rules are in force. It is essential, therefore, that timekeeping is impeccably observed by all concerned. We meet, at the times indicated, at the Surrey RA Clubhouse.

The situation has been made a little difficult this year because the shooting events of the Commonwealth Games will effectively take over Bisley from 21st July to 4th August. Some of these dates are a little different from usual, therefore, and those interested in the Imperial Meeting should note that the TR events start on Friday 5th July. We are still working on a Match against the School at Bisley but we do not have a date yet. Nor have we decided on the date for the AGM; notification will be sent by appropriate means in due course.

The Subscription for the current year is £45.00. We reduce this to £40.00 if you pay by standing order (details from the Hon. Secretary or the Hon. Treasurer). This is aimed at covering the fixed costs such as insurance, affiliation fees, Home Office approval, locker rent etc. and we also charge an appearance fee, to meet the cost of ammunition and target hire.
