The Cumbria district is run by five teams, as listed below:
- CHURCH LIFE
Areas of responsibility cover mission, training and development, youth work, safeguarding, local preachers, property schemes, celebration and creative arts, Women’s Network, guilds and similar fellowships.
- MINISTRIES
The Ministries team looks after the training and welfare of presbyters, deacons and lay workers.
- CHURCH AND SOCIETY
This team handles relationships between the Church and the community. Areas covered include tourism, public issues, disabilities, NCH, Methodist Homes, rural issues, industrial chaplaincy, world affairs and education.
- INTER-CHURCH AND OTHER RELATIONSHIPS
The Inter-church team concerns itself with relationships between the Methodist Church and other churches and faiths, both within the district and world-wide.
- SERVICES
The district services team has four main functions within Cumbria district. Those are finance, property, legal and communications.
