REPLACEMENT ROBOTIC ARM

We were requested by a client to manufacture a new Robotic Arm for one of their pieces of equipment as the existing arm had fractured and they had tried unsuccessfully to weld it.  The problem was they required the part within 24 hours to keep production flowing.

The part was machined from 300mm O/D PVCu solid bar, the only material available at this size, and delivered on schedule.  As seen from the photograph, the majority of machining was carried out on the Milling Machine and to very tight tolerances.

The client, a micro-electronic manufacturing company, assembled the new arm and had the equipment up and running at speed within four hours of delivery.
