SEMI AUTOMATIC WET BENCH

semiautowetdeck.jpg (24080 bytes)

Photograph is of a Semi Automatic Wet Bench that is used for dipping and etching by one of our customers in the Semiconductor industry.

The bench is constructed using an epoxy coated, all welded mild steel frame, (stainless steel is an option depending on the application), the frame is then fully clad in polypropylene and spark tested to ensure that the frame is fully encapsulated.
The bench had specifically designed sinks fitted complete with a series of PTFE guides and separators.  The sinks were then plumbed in using PFA and CPVC feed pipe manifolds and polypropylene for the drain manifold.  Each manifold is fitted with actuated diaphragm and ball valves.

The valves are linked to a sealed off control panel which is fitted on the end of the bench.  Standard IP 65 control boxes were considered but our own designed polypropylene box was decided on for aesthetics and to contain all the necessary cables and airlines.

The filling and draining of the sinks are then controlled from outside of the bench and from behind the vertically sliding PVCu screen with no contact with chemicals by the operators.

The bench was a joint design venture between EKIP and the customer.

The bench can be manufactured from various materials including Arctic White Polypropylene and FM 4910 approved sheet i.e. Corzan
