Hi my name is Henry and I live with my 3 year old Black Lab brother Monty (oh and mum and dad). We have just moved to Jersey where there are lots of big lovely beaches to run up and down - and where there are beaches, there's WATER!!!

We never got Vinny's details, just the picture, so we do not know much about him, but he sure is a handsome fellow.

Hi Tess, Hope you and your family are well and had a great Christmas and New Year. We had a busy time with mum's parents staying and us all visiting dad's mum and then we had a New Year party at home - that was lots of fun!! I deserve a rest from all the socialising now.
This is my lounge bed. I do fit in it if I want but its great to slob isn't it?!!
Take care. Love Roddy xxx

Hi
Lucy is my first Labrador. I am training her as my support dog. She loves going shopping with me and playing with my other dog Sasha. Lucy eats everything she can grab and has been known to chew on my walls and shoes. She is cute and adorable. She is 8 months old so is at the teenage stage. Everyone who meets her loves her. She is a bundle of energy.

This is smokey he seems a bit down because I have him on his leash and he can't run around like he wants to do. Unfortunately we did not receive the picture of Smokey.

Hi I'm Lacey and I'm a Lurcher. I'm 14 weeks old so I look a bit different from my photo now. I like to play chase round the garden (nobody can catch me) but sometimes I get told off because I jump up as I run past, nobody seems to like holes in their t-shirts, don't know why.

Black labs, 9 weeks

Hi everyone, we are Ebony and Pepper! We just love to drive 'mum and dad' mad chewing the paper they put down for our toilet training - they just don't seem to understand what a great game it is! I'm sure you will be seeing lots more of us as we grow up - our 'mum' is so proud of us she just keeps taking pictures all time and showing them to everyone!

Dog: Roddy
Black lab, 7yrs old

Hi Tess,
We have moved house and I now have a huge garden and through the garden gate at the bottom are the woods and a river to swim in. There are lots of squirrels, the odd fox (and unfortunately some neighbourhood cats - but they are learning!!) My friend Zak came to stay last week, whilst his family were on their holidays. He's getting an old man now at 15, but we still get on well and had fun keeping an eye on the wildlife!! Hope you are keeping well too. We all enjoy your Dog Blog. Best doggie regards

Awe - what can I say - he is our life! Buddy is a black lab – just over 1yr old! My parents had to look after him for 4 weeks while we were getting a new kitchen in and we missed him so much. He loved staying there as Mum and Dad have an 8 yr old Lab too and they get on very well. Buddy really missed Charlie when he came home, but we love having him back again!

Dog: Pocky
Pocky is 2 years and 5 month old and she got Official Training Championship last year. Now she is trying to challenge Agility competition in Japan in order to beat Border, Shelty due to her light weight. For your reminder, please see her baby's photo in page 22 in this site. She is really busy for the human entertainment but her hunting instinct too strong to live in the city like Yokohama. Lab. should belong to the place where they come from, but we enjoy living with them!

This is our Black Lab, Bliss. She is the love of our lives. We got her at 4 mos of age after the loss of our beloved dog, Raja. She has the heart of an angel and I can't imagine my life without her. Even after the devestating loss and not wanting to get another dog, Bliss entered our hearts and saved the day (after day after day after day). She is not quite 2 years old and I cherish every day I have with her.
Thank you for letting me share her with all of you!

I love visiting your site and reading all about Tess. I have two boys who are adorable but also very intelligent - they certainly know how to wrap me round their paws that is for sure. I think we are both lucky as we have the most beautiful breed of dog in the world or am I just biased?

Dog: Honey
Black Lab, approx 5
Last year we lost our beloved all breed and were so grief stricken that we immediately searched for a replacement. At the county pound laying calmly in her pen amongst the hundred other dogs was this Black Lab. After taking her out of the pen and talking to her I knew she was coming home with us. She remarkably picked her way through the maze and out the exit with me on the end of a lease. She was someones loving pet because she already knew how to fetch, sit stay, shake, lay down, play dead, play alive, roll over, twirl and on and on. On her own she brings the leash when she wants a walk or will bring it when I say go get your chain. She will bring her bowl when she is hungry or will bring it when I say go get your dish. She loves to help me bring in the letters from the post by taking them in her mouth and going in the house to Mom with them. She also loves the ocean and returning sticks thrown out in the surf. She is a loving gentle kind animal who goes everywhere with us. We feel that we were chosen to be her humans.

Dogs: Winston and Freebee
Black labradors, 6 1/2
Winston and Freebee are my 2nd and 3rd labs. My 1st was a golden lab called Bud, who sadly died very suddenly aged 16 months. Winston and Freebee were a great help in the whole family's recovery. We have had 6 1/2 years of laughs and tears with this brother and sister double act untill in October 2006 we discovered a lump on Winstons bum. He had this removed in the hope of having caught the whole tumour, but unfortunately a new lump was found in his stomach which was untreatable. On Saturday 28th April 2007 we had to say goodbye to our boy. Freebee is helping us get through this very sad time and we are loving her double.

Hi All
Just thought I’d update you on pictures of Buddy now – he is 9 months now and our life and soul. My parents’ dog – Charlie is now a lot better with him – although she can be jealous at times. Me parents’ take the 2 dogs to the beach nearly every Saturday morning and they absolutely love it! Buddy has our kitchen practically ruined by chewing everything when he was younger, but I wouldn’t change him for the world.
The picture’s are of him the night wee brought him home @ 8 wks old and the 2nd is of him at about 71/2 mths old waiting for his treat!

Sam was our dear companion from the age of 4 months. We had him with us almost all the time - even at work. He got very ill and, very sadly, passed away on 2 February 2007. He is missed by his family and work mates. We hope this will be a tribute to our lost, but not forgotten friend, who gave everyone he met so much pleasure.

I found your site tonight having searched Black Labs. We lost ‘Ki’ (Cornish for dog – pronounces key) on Saturday after 13 years of bliss. She was the most fantastic girl and your Tess is very similar, as you will see from the pic attached. We will miss her desperately and can only be grateful to her for all the pleasure she gave. There will never be another like her that’s for sure.

Dog: Ellie
Black Labrador, 14 weeks
I found her on the 23rd dec 2006 tied to a post at a petrol station. Firstly I thought she was panicking for the car wash so someone had left her out, but when I paid for my fuel it was obvious she was abandoned. She had been house trained and had no signs of abuse. She is lovely, easily trainable as all labs are, and such a nice intelligent dog wih no vices other than wanting to love and be loved.
She is being loved in our cottage, and has the roam of the whole house, a free spirit, and will hopefully enjoy a good future. I have had her jabbed and wormed her and she is insured, so really landed on her feet.
She acts pretty much like Tess , but likes to cheat around on my wife by hiding her slippers and hats. She even sometimes tries to hide the fact that they are missing by sitting on them in her bed!!! She is gorgeous!!!

Dog: Bundy
Labrador x Rottweiller 14 yrs young
Bundy adopted us at the pound in March 1996. He was looking for love and friendship and he found that and more. Bundy loved to cuddle and be cuddled and slept at my side every night of his time with us. Thunderstorms he hated, and would hide in the corner next to our old fireplace or jump in the bathtub. Birds loved him and would often walk with him around the backyard. When he was younger he loved to play football with Scott my son, and then rumble on the grass. Bundy loved trips in the car and went for his last trip yesterday. I love him and all that knew him loved him. THANK YOU Bundy for sharing your time on earth with us. You will never be gone from our heart.

An absolute gem. I couldn't imagine our lives without him now. He is a wee messer, and always chewing everything. Always hyper and loves to get out for his walks every day. He will eat everything and anything and even after he has had his meal he still sits at your feet at the dinner table to wait for yours. Dog: Dakota
Black Labrador Retriever, 4 1/2
Dakota is a 4 year old black lab that loves to do almost anything. What he likes most is going to a local lake and jumping in the boat to go swimming! He loves it! He also loves chasing around our 2 year old shih tzu, Lucy. She rules the roost but he likes to think he has a part in it too. He loves eating anything! But his fave treat would have to be PupCorn. He LOVES them! And his favorite toy would have to be a Gatorade bottle when we're done drinking them. He likes to take of the cap and then gives that to Lucy. So when you put it all together you could tell that Dakota is the best dog around!

Hi Tess, it has been a busy few months for me. Unfortunately I've visited the vets too much lately, (said mum). They are lovely people and I like visiting them, but I wish I didn't have to wait until I get an ear infection or a seed stuck in my paw before I go. It's a shame when you are not feeling 100%. Anyway, much better now. Here is a picture of me at the seaside at Fort Belan, North Wales. It was great fun and I was on top form! Hope you are enjoying the summer too Tess.
