 From: Suzie Kilmarnock, Scotland Dog: Eirin Laphraiog Labrador, 3 years old. Well, his favourite game is stealing socks, especially from the laundry basket when they are a bit smelly! He will give them back...eventually in exchange for a small treat. He sounds like a wolf when he barks, but people realise in time that he'll only lick them to death! He's a big softie. Fetching stuff is beyond him, and he gives you one of those "looks" that labradors are famous for. His favourite food is...everything, except lemons (yes, he tried one - no he wasn't satisfied). He sneaks under the kitchen table and steals balls of wool from unsuspecting ladies knitting - we think he's trying to knit a winter coat! Unlike other labradors, he will NOT swim. I am not very good at fetching sticks but I am a brilliant opportunist thief. I love to raid the bin and eat the leftovers if my family is silly enough to leave the kitchen door open. I can now get in the bread bin too. I love going to school with my mummy who is a teacher. When I am at school I do maths and bark the answer to simple sums to the children. Needless to say she was in a bad way having been neglected and abandoned after having pups. She is very bright and beginning to trust us now. We have just spent a week by the sea where she did a good impersonation of a typical labrador. We couldn't keep her out of the water! Purdy weighs 20kg now, a net gain of 6kg in 5 months. I read on your website about a lab that plays hide and seek, didn't think it possible so put Purdy to the test. She loves it! Keep up the good work.

He loves dressing up!! and is in full army uniform here ready to fight for his country!!! Max is adored by Shantelle and Jordan his owners. He LOVES the water, the beach and sticks. And food of course! Max is soooooo lovely and we all adore him he is the best dog ever and he doesn't ever bark!!!!! Max is a pure pedigree labrador, male and is 2 and a half and lives in Norwich, England with his owners Paul, Claire, Shantelle and Jordan and Misty the hamster!!

From: Joan Williams Lancashire Dogs: Meg & Bess Black Labs Hello we have just come back from our holls on Anglesey, where we have spent most of the time swimming and getting fit for the shooting season later this year. We are two Black labs, Meg age eight and Bess, still a pup at ten months. This has been her first trip to sea and she took to it like a duck to water!! Our old friend Jan sadly passed away this Easter at the grand old age of 14. How she is missed, she was a good working dog and was fantastic in the water especially when the river was on flood. I hope you receive the pic of Jan on her last trip to the beach splashing in the sea last year. Love from Meg and Bess

They get on famously. Chloe enjoys swimming at our beach, walks and attending puppy pre-school which she has just graduated from - next will be obedience classes. Her mother also attended the same puppy pre-school that I run as a vet nurse. After dealing with other peoples puppy problems for 8 years it is nice to be practising what i preach.

Ama giocare con la palla e con l'acqua, si diverte tanto con la pompa in giardino, è un grande mangione, ma è anche straordinariamente affettuoso. Lo amo infinitamente. Translation: Njo is a sweet, honey-coloured four-year-old Labrador. He is friends with everybody, expecially the children. He loves playing with his ball and with water, and is very amused by the water pump in the garden. He is a big eater, but also extraordinarily affectionate. I love him infinitely.
