hello...tess is such an adorable dog. my boyfriend and i just recently bought a black lab/terrier mixed puppy. we bought at the age of two months and she had just made five months. her name is keahi, which means fire. i was telling my boyfriend that tess reminds me so much of keahi...they could pass for twins. we are presently still in the progress of housebreaking and crate training her...this is taking quite a while...anyhow, your dog is very adorable...

I have two black labs,their names are Shadow(Sir Solemon male four years old)and Sadie(Dugan's Black Velvet female two and a half years old) I wouldn't want any other breed. Though my male 115lbs of rock solid muscle is an epileptic and can at times be difficult to control his seizures he is my baby. These two are pretty much spoiled as is Tess but they do become our children and did we not give all to them as well? My wife's dog Sadie is so spoiled as is mine Shadow that neither of us says any thing to the other untill we have greeted the dogs. I guess it is good we are both dog lovers. We will probably get two more,why not the more the merier I say we don't have any other children to speak of,(a 20 yr old daughter that lives on her own) I think we can share our love with two more of the greatest breed

Hi Tess... my name is Murphie Greer and I am from Boonville, IN in the USA. I am a black lab too. My mom spoils me just like your does :0) She feeds me mashed potatoes from a fork and even turkey and chicken... yum. I was born Nov. 23, 1998 and came to live with my family on Dec. 29, 1998. I live with my mudder (mom) and fadder (dad) and I have a sister in collge and a brother too. I get lots of attention and one of my favorite things to do is play frisbe. Dogs are so special. About two and a half years ago when I gave up my old job to become an artist I finally got my own dog . i am from minnesota.i had a black lab named ebony.she wandered from someone's house to ours.she was very old(for a dog)a few months later in summer the heat got to her.i was on a bike ride when she died.that day was horrible for everyone especially my 7 year old sister since it was her birthday that day.we buried her in our backyard where we loved to play catch with her.

Hello Tess! I am an eight year old black lab. I live in Maine with my son and my family I take care of three kids who are 22,19 and 14. The 22 year old has my son off at college so he can get broader experience and exposure to culture. I quite enjoy this arrangement as I get all the attention for myself. I, too, have a black lab. His first name is Trooper. He learned his commands very fast but I still can't stop him from jumping up on people. I think it is because I did not socialize him enough so he gets REAL excited when new people come to the house. Do you have any suggestions?

Hi Tess, My name's Heidi, and I'm exactly 1 year older than you are. I was born Feb 12 1997, and I'm a Black Lab just as you are. I share my house with my best friend Bailey, a Chocolate Lab, who is 8 years old. I also have 4 kitties to play with. I love my mom very much. She brings Bailey and me to Grandma and Grandpa's house everyday to play with their new Black Lab puppy. She is 4 1/2 months old, and I am her official babysitter. I have three black labs. Lucy is 12 and a half. Maggie and Annie are about 2. These best friends have brought me more joy than anything. My son adopted a 2 yr. old black lab this week-end that had been abandoned by its owner and shot 3 times. She was nursed back to health by a local rescue group.

Posted on: Saturday, August 07, 1999, 07:14 PM Great site. I like the pictures. We've just got a 10 week old black lab, "Belle(of Glenhurst)" and Tess's pictures remind me of Belle.
(I'm offshore at the moment, so I haven't spent as much time with Belle as the rest of the family). The kids fell in love with Belle as soon as we got her home, and like Tess, she is going to be a family pet rather than a working dog. She already retrieves things naturally, so I'm sure there are some Champion retrievers in her pedigree.
We live down in South Wales now, but when we lived in Scotland we had two Yellow labs, Lucy and Bess, who came from Banff. They were great family dogs and were with us for 15 years.
Anyway, keep up the site with new pictures and stories of Tess..

Very lovely page. I live in Cave Junction, Oregon, USA We own a Labrador Kennel called Ravenwood Retriever Kennels. We also make Horse Blankets for a living.

You have a beautiful website, Tess! My name is Cara, and I live in Salt Lake City, Utah home of the greatest snow on Earth) with my dog Maddie. She is half Border Collie, and half Australian Cattle Dog, and she is VERY bossy! (Which is how she earned the nick name "Bossy-Ausie) She loves to sleep in our backyard, which is her kingdom, all day so that she has tons of energy to play with me when I get home from work!

My family has a black lab that is two years old. She is the best dog that I ever been around. Her name is Shada. My Uncle purchased her parents in Scotland. I have a question for you. Does Tess have curly hair on her lower back, near her tail? I ask because I am trying to find the same type of Lab because Shadda has cancer and one day we will be looking for another lab just like her. I was just wondering if Tess looked like Shada.

My name is Ashley and I live in USA, and I own a Labrador, Dalmation mix named Joe-Joe who is all black except for white spot with black dots on his stomach and he loves to have us chase him around the block. Hi Ella,

What an unlucky dog Tess is, she looks like she is having the worst time :-( How can she be forced to swim in the river everyday. I think she needs a rest, so how about sending her to stay with Major and I for awhile?

Terrific job with the website. I loved that photo of her racing to the river, and the one of her crashed out on the couch with dad(?) is priceless.
