PROMOTIONS IN SEPTEMBER '99

Kristina Olsen & Peter Grayling

Friday September 3rd, King's Head, Allendale

£5.00 at the door

One of the most well-received acts of the past years at The King's Head in Allendale is set for a welcome return, back from the ends of the earth to the tiny village that some say sits at the heart of the UK.

Kristina Olsen from the heart of California is sure to have some new earthy experiences to relate, along with songs that convey true blues in the rawest of Joplinesque voices, and a saxophone that will break your heart. Or maybe your heart strings will be tugged by the classical cello of Peter Grayling, once of the Tasmanian Symphomy Orchestra, now lending his unerring ear to an emotional session that in the end is more than the blues.

It looks like a delicious experience to revel in, as this increasingly famous duo return on Friday night, September 3rd, for another night that will be remembered both for virtuosity, humour, and the grand passions of life passionately explored.

Review of a gig last year in Bristol, with really nice photographs!

Kristina Olsen has also done a special benefit CD called Phoebe's Iceberg on behalf of the Jennifer Trust for Spinal Muscular Atrophy -- the link is well worth a visit -- and the tune is something that you will remember forever.

You may want to receive regular mailings of our programme, and if so, you can send your address to us as easy as clicking your mouse, and typing it in! The current schedule is booked now until the end of the year, and the current newsletter runs through until the end of September. Our next newsletter will be coming out some time around the end of the month, and there are some hot new acts we haven't been able to circulate yet, because we're still working on them! If we haven't updated this website to show any of these bookings, it's only because we haven't yet got around to it. We are always working, working, working.

We do appreciate all comments, and we want to provide the music you want to hear. . . .
