Nigel Carter has more than 20 years experience in
the petro-chemical industry in the UK and overseas. he has general management experience
in crude oil production and pipe-line operations; in marketing, trading and supply in
international markets. he also served with the Executive Branch of the Royal Navy before
joining British Petroleum in 1970.
His work has embraced safety and environmental
issues affecting everyday operations in the oil industry and, in his consultancy work, has
concentrated on the implementation of environmental management best practice.
Nigel is registered with the Environmental
Auditors' Registration Association, is a Fellow of the Institute of Petroleum and a Fellow
of the Royal Society for the encouragement of the Arts, Manufactures and Commerce.
He is a member of the Environment Committee of
the Federation of Small Businesses and is their delegate to ISO/TC 207/ES/2, developing
environmental audit standards.
