Can I convert my bench grinder into a polishing machine? A: Yes, we sell 2 kits that contains all you need to convert your bench grinder and includes mops and polishing compounds for all metals.
Be sure to check the diameter of your bench grinder shaft before ordering. How do I convert my bench grinder to a polishing machine? Click here. Will there be any new kits in your range? A: We occasionally add new products. We welcome suggestions for additions to our range. Why is there a bag of white powder included with the kits? A: The bag of white powder is Vienna Lime. While you are polishing, a black 'smut' sometimes forms on the surface of the metal. Sprinkle a little Vienna Lime of a soft cloth, wipe off the smut and continue polishing. Do your kits include instructions? A: All our major kits include full step-by-step instructions. Do I need to remove paint before polishing? A: Yes, use a
commercially available paint stripper to remove any paint or lacquer
first. If your item to be polishing is powder coated then it is a
specialised job to remove it. A local powder coating company may be
able to strip it for you. You can remove paint with abrasive
compounds but it is much more difficult than using paint stripper. |
