World Heritage Site - Greenwich - Home of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) has never had a problem finding a place on the map, or in the hearts and minds of peoples all over the globe. It's where modern navigation was born, and the imposing Royal Naval College, (recently adopted as a modern university) stands on the site of the Royal Palace in which Henry VIII, and his daughters, Mary and Elizabeth were born. So much history, and plenty to see, and do!

Greenwich Royal Park, The Naval Museum (recently refurbished), and the Royal Observatory, with exhibits of time pieces and astronomical telescopes, each deserve perhaps a days visit in their own right!

Not to mention the Riverside walks, The Cutty Sark (tea clipper), the Fan Museum, the Greenwich Market, the many book, and bric a brac stalls, and the many Pubs and Restaurants, and down river 1/2 mile the site of the much vaunted Millennium Dome - had enough yet?
