itinerary - 18-27 May 2007
| Day 1 | Depart local area en route to our Dover P&O ferry crossing. We continue through France for our over-night hotel stop in Dijon. We shall arrive in time to freshen up before dinner. |
| Day 2 | After breakfast we continue our trip through France into Spain with regular stops for refreshments. Upon our arrival in Roses, we shall check into the Prestige Coral Platja Hotel. |
| Day 3 | Today we relax after yesterday’s journey and enjoy the sunshine and take in the town of Roses, and of course the welcome sight of the Mediterranean Sea. |
| Day 4 | Enjoy a full day tour of the enchanting city of Barcelona. Enjoy a guided tour through the streets of its Gothic quarter and walk down the most famous street in Europe, the wide tree-lined boulevard known as La Ramblas. There is also the Picasso Museum and all around view the works of Barcelona’s most famous architectural son, Antonio Gaudi. |
| Day 5&6 | Free time to relax; enjoy the beach, bars and the interesting town of Roses. |
| Day 7 | An extended morning visit to Girona, one of the most historical sites in Spain. Experience a guided walk inside the ancient walls to see such gems as the 12th century Benedictine monastry of Sant Pere de Galligants. The arcaded promenade, the Rambla de la Llibertat, is lined with delightful cafes and shops selling souvenirs, crafts, antiques and curiosities. |
| Day 8 | A restful day in Roses before our journey home. |
| Day 9 | Retrace our route back to Dijon for our overnight stay. |
| Day 10 | Travel back to our ferry crossing and home. |
