Welcome to the St Chad WebsiteWe worship Jesus as Lord, sharing His love with each other, our community and the world |
The name Tuesday Fellowship was adopted when the Methodist Sisterhood and the Anglican Mothers’ Union joined together in 1975 ( the year that the two churches came together here in Patchway).
We are a welcoming group of women, although men would also find our speakers interesting. There is no age limit, everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy a time of friendship and fellowship. There is a great deal of caring that goes on between our members that is offered to people outside our group; we’re like an extended family.
Our speakers are from all walks of life. The message usually has a Christian content in which we learn about today’s issues and what’s going on around us, for example the drug addicts and homeless in Bristol, work with prostitutes, Christian Hospice South West, and overseas work such as Tear Fund and Hope and Homes for children.
As a group we
support many charities and each year we have a ‘Special Project’ to
support one particular charity more fully. We also have parties and an
outing during the year. ‘We love our cup and tea & biscuit at the end of every meeting when we can
carry on with getting to know and care for each other more.’ Tuesday Fellowship meets at 2pm each Tuesday in the Wesley Room at St Chad’s.
Our aims are
To give a Warm & Friendly welcome to all To
share our Joy and our Laughter. To
share our Sorrows with Love & Concern To
Pray for each other To
enjoy singing together To
invite interesting speakers To
be Generous in our Giving to Good Causes For more information about Tuesday Fellowship please contact the Church
Office tel 0117 979 3978 on weekday mornings.
