GOING ROUND IN CIRCLES

Take a look at all the columns clock wise there is a interval of 5 on all the

columns like wise on the anticlockwise  table the interval is 4 on all columns.

Music made easy  again it looks like a maths test or the formula for the atom bomb.`

AS you can see the last 4 notes  of the C scale are the first 4 notes of the G scale

and so it goes all the way round back to C this works for every key.

The number in black are the number used in the Nashville number system

thought not all of them  relate to Chord progression its would have looked odd if

I had not included the odd one.

I had just accepted that the Number system worked and never questioned why it work

till one night at two in the  morning to be precise it me why it works as you can see on

the example below  its all connected with the circle of fifths  G being  5 steps up the

C Scale  d being 2  steps up the scale.  The example show the circle clock wise

Anti clockwise will be coming shortly show  the notes going anti clock wise in steps of 4.

To maintain the scale of tone tone semitone tone tone semitone  the 7th

the note in the new scale is sharpened. This is explained at the bottom of the page*

This  explains  all the most used chord progressions in music today

This is also relative to Iany key so changing  the chord is any key is

very easy just a case of  moving   the table round to the key your in eg the key of G

Put  G  at the top its moved one place to the left so C is now where F was  .

IN THE KEY OF C

1 3 6 2 5            C E A D G

1 7b 4                C Bb F

1 6 2 5               C A D G

IN  THE KEY OF G

1 3 6 2 5            G B E.A.D

17b 4                 G F C

1 6 2 5               G E A D
