Feel free to print this table out. It is advisable because of its size to copy and paste it into another programme such as Microsoft word to ensure a fit on a piece of A4 paper

*NOTES 1

IM NOT SURE IF THIS POSITION SHOULD BE 6F OR 5BC IT DEPENDS WHAT CHORD YOUR PLAYING

*NOTES 2

YOU HAVE TO ALTER SOME OF THE POSITONS DEPENDING ON WHAT THE MELODY AND THE CHORD PROGRESSION IS DOING i.e. IF YOUR PICKING STRINGS 5 AND 6 ON THE 8 FRET AND YOU WANT TO PLAY 3 AND 5 IF THE CHORD IN THE PROGRESSION IS C

10A AND B WILL NOT FIT THE MELODY. The correct position is 11A on strings 3 and 5. AND PLAIN 11 FOR A C7TH IF HOWEVER THE CHORD IS A G, THEN 10A AND B, ON STRINGS 3 AND 5 IS CORECT. THIS APPLIES TO ALL SCALES.

CHECK OUT THE FOLLOWING WHERE YOU CAN HEAR PEDAL STEEL ON COUNTRY RADIO

www.wsmonline.com The recent upgrade has made this an interesting site (though very slow to load) The site has many new features as well as established ones and of course the Grand Ole Opry and archives. Eddie Stubs (The CMA Radio personality of the year) has a regular spot several times a week. and the shows are archived .The archives now are only available to premium  members which means you have top pay for it.

www.twangcast.com Back broadcasting after an absence

www.country.com This is in fact C.M.T good information on country music and various stations to listen to. Top 20 videos of contemporary country music worth a visit.

www.etrecordshop.com Listen to the MIDNITE JAMBOREE either live or by way of archive.  Johnny Bush appeared at the MIDNITE JAMBOREE in April with special guest Buddy Emmons this time I got to hear it live (third time lucky). Eddie Stubs was in the audience and a host of steel guitar pickers. Just checked the archives sadly its no longer listed

www.wdvrfm.org this is a real gem of a station playing real country music and bluegrass as well as a selection of other music. It is a community based radio station with few adverts. It is one of the few places where a steel guitar instrumental can be heard from the likes of Buddy Emmons or Jimmy Day.. The majority of the singers  featured  are all from Texas  the music is fabous  and features   real country music and pedal steel  the way it should be no fancy speed picking

www.virtualtuner.com This is a listing of Radio stations on the Internet.

http://www.kdhx.org/ Another community based radio station playing music like it used to be.  This station is back after along absence

www.steelradio.com It’s back at last after a long absence much like kdhx.  The steel Guitar Convention in ST Louis got 3  million  hits when it went out live this year in September  I listened and it was wonderful.

www.bluegrasscountry.org A Station with a Bluegrass slant however Eddie Stubbs of the Grand Ole Opry has a 3 hour show which features a considerable amount of information on pedal steel such as who played on which session the show is dedicated to 40’s 50’s and 60’s Country, Bluegrass and Western Swing. What makes this Internet Radio Station different is it caters for the different time zones World Wide. I.e. it is one day of programs rotated to different times through out the week, new programs being slotted in on a Wednesday Which means if you miss Eddie Stubbs one day you should be able to listen on another time slot. If you like Bluegrass this is the station for you

A REAL PLAYER OR MEDIA PLAYER IS REQIRED FOR THE STATIONS LISTED A GOOD IDEA IS TO DOWNLOAD THEM BOTH AS IT

GIVES A CHOICE. (THERE BOTH FREE.)

http://wkrp.fm Requires a Winamp player this is available free from www.winamp.com A Real One Player will also stream this station.
