ASCEDING AND DESCENDING A SCALES
This is one of many
speed scales. This is just the beginning. Lots of speed licks can be created
with a little imagination. It's possible to stay within this scale and never
move in a whole song providing you start and end on the right note (at least
that’s what Jeff Newman tells me).
I use this as a warm up
before I start playing. To really learn this best to start of slowly and I mean
slowly to get a good right hand technique. No amount of practice and hair
tearing out will ever get you up to the speed you want. Try your own fingering
to see what suits you best though a thumb and finger cross over is a good
starting point
