Applying flesh to the bones.

I've neglected Wearwulf this month in favour of learning Cocoa under MacOS-X. However, I have drawn up a power budget, and I'm convinced that Wearwulf should operate for at least 8-hours continuously on one set of four NiMH AA batteries. Wearwulf's schematic is underway, and should be completed "sometime soon" :-)

I've settled on a main persona for my application to create DVDs under MacOS-X, and his name is "Bob Grange", an aspiring film-maker producing his films on a limited budget. I've finised the first round of user interaction design, and want to start knocking up a functional prototype.

Looking ahead.

Well, it's a new year, so I have a list of projects to do:

• Wearwulf:
  I'll be returning to Wearwulf at the begining of next week - I'm probably going to tighten up a few details to make the design more concrete, then get on with the schematic capture and PCB layout.

• Mac OS-X DVD Creator:
  Over the years I've become quite interested in interaction design for computers, and read a number of books who's ideas I'd like to put into practice (more details to follow):

• »"The Design of Everyday Things" by Donald A. Norman.
• »"The Humane Interface" by Jeff Raskin.

• New Job or Business:
  I need to get a new job this year or set up a business - something that I can enjoy and put all my effort into. It'd wierd - even though I'm not the most confident person in the world - I know I can run a sucessful business.

So, I'd like to welcome in the year 2004, and hope that we all survive to welcome in 2005.
