WELCOME TO FINN HARPS HOMEPAGE. Wednesday,17th.June at Walkers Paying fields(6.30pm-8pm), we are starting our open coaching sessions for 5-10 year old boys and girls. The aim of these sessions is to start new teams for next season at various age groups. All children are welcome and any parents who are interested in helping out. (21/6/09) Sunday,21st.June 2009,we are holding our 8th Annual Presentation Day, starting 2pm at Sefton Rugby Club,off Leyfield Road,Town Row, West Derby.L12 9EY. Directions All players and families welcome to attend. (25/5/09)More success for the Mighty Harps!!Our Under14Panthers entered 2 teams in the Newton Athletic 6-a-side tournament, held at Chester Racecourse and both teams "romped home" to the final and shared the trophy.

(8/5/09)BREAKING NEWS!!!! Well done to our Under 10's and Under 10 Sharks who both won the Fair Play Award in the Mossley Hill Junior Football League. This is a reward for the great work being done by Lenny,Charlie,Peter,Tam and all the boys and their parents. (26/4/09)Many congratulations to Ray,Will and our Under 14 Panthers who won the Belle Vale League by a point with a 1-1 result against Belle Vale.It has been a testing and challenging season after "losing" 2 boys to Tranmere, but the squad showed great character and ran out worthy champions in a very strong league. WINNERS!!!!! Congratulations to our Under 13 Panthers who have just won the Liverpool and Halewood Sunday League. Well done to all the boys and to the management team of Ray Jackson and Will Taylor!!!! Welcome to our friends from Co.Westmeath,Ireland who visit Liverpool this weekend, 22nd.March'08.Our Under 13's and and our Under 14's are playing them at 10.30am at Mossley Hill's ground this Saturday at 10.30am.All welcome to show their support. Everyone at Finn Harps wishes Liam Caveny a speedy recovery, after dislocating his shoulder playing for the Under 17's last weekend. Let's hope it's not too long before he is back between the sticks!!(18/11/07) Thanks to Tommy Burke of DMB Property Developers for sponsoring the Under 15's new kit. Everyone at Finn Harps sends their best wishes to Sean Hornby who plays for our Under 15's and sadly broke his leg last week (14th.Oct) and will be out of action for a number of weeks. Finn Harps player gets international call-up! Niall Fitzsimmons(Under 16) has been invited to train with the England Celebral Palsy Development Squad, at Lilleshall. Congratulations Niall. Everyone at Finn Harps wishes you luck on becoming the first Finn Harps player to play for England. Niall has already played for Everton in a European tournament in Rotterdam. Especially to our 2 new teams, Bobby with the Under 6's and Lennie with the Under 9's Sharks. Our PRESENTATION DAY went well and the weather just about stayed dry. Congratulations to all our players who each received a trophy and to our individual award winners (see Roll of Honour).The highlight of the day was probably the Dads winning the Dads and Lads match(12 dads against 40 lads). (10June'07) Under 14's beat Man.Utd to the double!! Simon's team won their second cup of the season, beating Templewood 2-1 in the Merseyside Junior Winter League Invitation Cup Final. Elliot McCaughran scoring both goals! (13th.May 07) It was a Double Celebration on Sunday as our Under 14's also won their KO Cup with a convincing 5-1 victory against Lorenzo.Mark Thompson starred with a hatrick. Well done to Simon,Steve,Rob and all the boys!!!!!(6th.May 07) Congratulations to our Under 16's who won the KO Cup on Sunday(6th.May), beating Templewood 2-0.Ryan Nightingale netted both goals with his first being a contender for "Goal of the Season" (a Rooney-like chip from the edge of the box, leaving the keeper stranded. WELL DONE to all the boys who put in a great team effort and didn't really look in trouble at any time. See the Photos. (6th.May 07) TUEBROOK LEAGUE CUP FINALS DAY at Maiden Lane this Sunday,6th.May 11.00 kick-off, Finn Harps Under 16 v Templewood and at 2.15 Finn Harps Under 14 v Lorenzo Boys. Good Luck to both our teams; come down and show them your support. In their first season together, the Under 8's who had their MHJFL Presentation at the Fairfield Police Club, were awarded 2nd. place in the Fair Play Awards. This is a credit to the players and parents' behaviour throughout the season.Well Done!! Finn Harps extend their "Welcome across the Irish Sea" to our visitors from Dundalk Rangers. Our Under 11 Pumas and the Under 12's played against the lads from Dundalk and both games were a credit to all the boys and their coaches. Hopefully we can return the occasion with a visit to Ireland. (See the photos.) Finn Harps Juniors have been awarded National Charter Standard Award by the Football Association. This is in recognition of all the hard work put in by everyone involved in the club and that Finn Harps Juniors has achieved quality standards of coaching, administration and child protection. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Christmas Party was a huge success with over 80 children receiving their Finn Harps T-shirts. Thanks to the parents who donated prizes, especially Paul Murphy(Everton Ball). Feedback from the parents was very positive as well (I think they enjoyed themselves at the bar!!!)
