WWAC DINGHY OPEN 2006

Major prize winners with sponsor Rob Kitcher of Buzzard Marine, Yarmouth.

 

                

65 anglers attended the Western Wight AC dinghy open competition last Sunday and 30 returned 84 fish to the scales most of which were returned to the sea alive. The best bag of the day, nine Flounders totalling 9lb 12oz went to Lee Smith from Sandown. Smith was presented with the £150 prize by Rob Kitcher from the sponsor Buzzard Marine. The best specimen prize of £65 went to Karl Wager for a Flounder of 2lb 3-1/2oz and the second best prize of £32.50 was won by Luke Kerr with a Flounder of 2lb 2-1/2oz. Ian Selby picked up a £25 tackle voucher as top junior with 5lb 2-1/2oz and the drawn pairs prize donated by Scotties Tackle went to Rob Kitcher and Steve Smith with a combined weight of 10lb 3oz. Paul Fincham was second overall with 9lb 2-1/2oz and had first pick of the table and Bill Armstrong was third with 7lb 3-1/2oz.
