| I have been riding since I was about 10 years old. I started out on number of small bikes. A GN125 and a Honda Twin Star 185 come to mind. I was not allowed to have any dirt bikes by my parent. She felt that I would do damage to the property. She was probably right. I rode both of the bikes like a dirt bikes despite this. Running down trails and causing mischief. When I turned 17 I took the MSF and bought a 500 Interceptor. From there I quickly graduated to the 750 or V45 by the age of 18. I rode both Interceptor's with reckless abandon and paid a heavy price. At the age of 27 I was still riding the V45, somewhat more sensibly. I moved to Ohio due to the depressed economy in Southern Illinois. I now work as a computer technician and ride a FJ1200 that I purchased this spring. I just recently sold the V45. It was | |
| suffering from neglect and age due to the fact that I spent most of the five years that I've been in Ohio trying to get on my feet. I regret having sold it though, it went to a good home. The gentleman that bought it has put a lot of hours and money into reconditioning it. Meanwhile I am doing the same to the FJ. My FJ is a 1986. It had not been given much attention when I bought it. I guess that I am just cursed to tinker. The truth is that I love to. I am one of those people that can always see a better way of doing it, whatever it may be. The FJ has a great history and is an excellent bike. I am really enjoying rebuilding the old girl. | |
