Introduction

Welcome to the FJ Resource!

Salutations!

I purchased my FJ a year ago this March. I had not ridden in several years and was sort of out of touch with the sport. I found it difficult to find answers to the questions that I was asking about the FJ on the internet. The former owner of my FJ had suggested that I join the Yamaha FJ email list. I did so and found all of my answers and a wealth of other information as well. This past fall I began to assemble the information that I had collected from the list and other sources into a site that would give readily available answers to the questions that I had asked. Here I am still. Months have passed and the site continues to grow. It has easily out grown my initial expectation. I have more to add now and I doubt that will change anytime soon. Before I begin my latest update I must take this opportunity to thank my friends from the list. I could easily bore you to tears with talk about how great they are. Instead I will keep it simple by saying that these pages would not exist were it not for them.  A lot of the information that I present is directly pulled from emails that have come from the list. I have paid close attention to adding [flags] that will tell you if what you are reading is from my research or someone else's.  If you would like to discuss information presented by one of the list members please feel free to sign up and receive the Yamaha FJ list yourself. They will be pleased to help.  You may also feel free to contact me regarding questions about site content  and suggestions for additional content.

At this time I feel it necessary to point out  that I cannot  take responsibility for what takes place in your garage. Nor can my contributors. This site is a source for information and nothing more. View it as advise and use your own best judgment when it comes to caring for and modifying your motorcycle.  Seek the advise/ assistance of a professional mechanic or engineer when faced with tasks that you feel uncomfortable performing. In short use you head when working on your bike. Your arse depends on it!

Ride Safe!
