Indian Ridge Oaks Is very well located for easily reaching all the surrounding areas but is far enough away to be quiet. When the Western Beltway road opens it will be very quick to reach the Magic Kingdom or North Orlando.

Eating out

We have tried the following places and enjoyed them:

Sizzler - Their buffets are great. Eat as much as you like. Great for a cheap breakfast before a day in the park

Dennys - Good burger place

Planet Hollywood - At Downtown Disney. Quite expensive but when we went to the cinema next door they had an offer where we showed our ticket, jumped the queue and got 20% off the bill

Bennigans - More sophisticated burger place, Paul loves it but the children don't. Make your own judgement!

Chinese buffets - Loads of different ones about where you eat as much as you like. Can't remember the names of the ones we tried.

The restaurant next to Boggy Creak airboats - The best burgers we tasted and the cheapest. Service with a smile.

Bennihanas - A Japanese restaurant where the food is cooked at your table. Better than any dinner show!

Outback - Excellent steaks

Texas De Brasil - More 'upmarket' restaurant with as much meat as you can eat.

Places to visit

Disney - get there early and know where you're heading.

Universal - we don't like the big rides so we preferred Universal Studios to Islands of Adventure. It only takes 10 minutes to walk between the 2 parks.

Waterparks - we have been to Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. They were great.

Seaworld - we went out of peak season so could exchange our 1 day ticket for a 2nd day ticket.

Gatorland - 'fantastic alligator encounters with thrilling shows' quote from Juliette! Feed the alligators with hotdogs, feed yourself with gator ribs and nuggets. Have your photo taken holding an alligator or a snake or both.

Boggy Creek airboat rides - you can buy a combined ticket at Gatorland for this to use within a week or so. It is only 15 minutes from Orlando airport so we did it on our last afternoon. Don't forget the insect repellent.

Wonderworks - never been there but have friends who strongly recommended it.

Clearwater Beach - 1 1/2 hours drive away. We went on a tugboat dolphin encounter to see the dolphins in their natural habitat, great fun. We also went parasailing - scary!

Cinema - at Downtown Disney - Go between 4 and 6pm and everyone gets in for $4 each.  Much cheaper than at home. Seat are luxurious, reclining and tiered. A great experience.

Golf

There is an excellent selection of golf courses within minutes of the villas including Mystic Dunes, Falcons Fire, Champions gate, Orange Lake and many more.

Flying

Close by is the opportunity to fly war planes at Warbird Adventures (It is too expensive for us)
