Tony Dangerfield in action in his Lord Sutch days,: Tony was the guy who formed the band that eventually became Brian Gulliver &The Travellers,I had been in various bands with Tony from 1962 which included Terry Derry, Dave Nutt,Terry O'Brien, Dixie Dean, Trevor Rowley, Jimmy Richards,Docker Hill, Peter Carpenter,Benny Follows, Chick Bennett, Tony Tolley,

Tony called me and asked if I would be interested inbeing vocalist in a new band he was forming which included Jimmy Richards ex Redcaps on drums, himself on bass and a brilliant young 16 year old guitarist from Hinckley named Johnny Bedder,we rehearsed at The Watersplash club in Walsall Wood, Jimmy Richards decided to leave as he didn't fancy the touring and was replaced by a friend of John named Neil Norman. We eventually got the gig on ATV's Teenagers Only where Reg Watson gave us the name" BRIAN GULLIVER AND THE TRAVELLERS".Tony was forever on about Screaming Lord Sutch and The Savages so it was no surprise when he eventually followed his dream and left to join him. Incidentally I was best man at Tony& Vicky's wedding.
