Folk Spots continues to be involved in promoting various folk song, music and dance related events in Kent, often in co-operation with other organisations or groups, including Tenterden Folk Day Trust, Tenterden Folk Club, Steel Carpet Music, Pete Castle, Ashford Borough Council or Kent County Council. We also keep in touch with many local, national and international folk musicians, groups, dance bands and Morris sides. |

If you are thinking of organising a folk music, song or dance event for
your social club, PTA, youth organisation, local authority, school or other
club, we could probably help you. We are not an agency but offer consultancy
services and can usually put you in touch with the right people for any folk
event. |

Alan
has been involved in organising folk song clubs, sing-a-rounds, ceilidhs,
barn dances, one-off events, workshops, festivals and other folk events,
since the early 1970's. He has also been known to act as compere for concerts
and folk clubs. From 2001 to 2003 he was a Member of the South East Arts
Music Advisor Network.
Many other barn dance and ceilidh
bands, folk musicians, singers, story tellers and other folk artists.
