THE FRIENDS OF LITTLEHEATH WOODS was established in November 1995 by the Selsdon Residents Association and the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers (BTCV), the woods are owned by the Parks & Open Spaces Division of Croydon Council who are ultimately responsible for their management.

Aims of the Friends

a) To ensure that Littleheath Woods are maintained.

1) For the benefit of the flora and fauna so that no one species shall threaten the survival of another, and

2) For the enjoyment of the public and that as far as is reasonably practicable, neither is developed to the detriment of the other.

b) To carry out programmes of practical work, especially conservation and restoration work in fulfillment of those aims.

c) To act a a forum for discussion on issues that may affect the aims or activities as set out above.

d) To educate volunteers of all ages, sex or ethnicity in the principles and practices of conservation, and

e) To raise money as necessary for the implementation of these aims.
