The production of a "Sustainability Report" is not a one-off job prepared in isolation by a specific manager. It is the most visible part of a wider process that reaches into all areas of the organisation. This reporting process is not only an important asset in your organisation's communications strategy, it is also a valuable management tool, bringing together information on many aspects of organisational performance that are of growing importance.
The whole environmental reporting process is summarised in the diagram below.

Since it is important to get this process right to deliver maximum value to both the organisation and stakeholders, at EuGeos we examine this whole process with you before putting pen to paper. At each stage we work with you to answer key questions and secure commitment from others in the organisation before moving ahead. We draw on standards and best practice (for example, the Global Reporting Initiative guidance or the requirements for EMAS statements) to align reports with the expectations of institutional stakeholders such as regulators and investors. We encourage clients to use a variety of communication channels - not just formal sustainability reports - to reach important stakeholder groups.
Find out more about some of the issues that arise at different stages of the process.
Sustainability reporting is an investment - an investment in communication and an investment for the future. Made at the level that's right for your organisation - site-specific, business-unit-based or company-wide - it is a sound investment.
