An introduction to IsoMec3D IsoMec3D is a collection of over 350 realistic 3D drawings of parts which can be assembled on your computer screen to produce complete and accurate 3D models and mechanisms. The Basic Collection contains drawings of over 250 standard parts that you would normally find in a Meccano® number 10 set. The Supplementary Collection contains drawings of over 100 obsolete, special, new and Elektrikit parts. The IsoMec3D collection of drawings is designed to be used with TURBOCAD Solid Modeler (previously known as CorelCAD), a sophisticated yet easy-to-use computer-aided-design (CAD) program from IMSI. All IsoMec3D drawings were produced using CorelCAD. Using the power and features of TURBOCAD Solid Modeler, your drawings can be viewed fram any viewpoint in full 3D perspective. The drawings can be rendered to produce realistic photograph-like images and any view can be printed out in full colour or exported to other desk-top-publishing (DTP) packages for inclusion as complete or descriptive illustrations. An example of this is fig.1 of the motorcycle above. |
IsoMec3D is ideal for producing model plans where you want to give your reader a complete understanding and visual description of your model or mechanism. It's not really drawing Using IsoMec3D with TURBOCAD Solid Modeler is not really drawing. You will, in fact, produce a finished picture without drawing anything at all. The drawing part has already been done for you and is in the IsoMec3D library of parts which you will use to assemble the drawing of you model. Rendering your drawings All the drawings of parts supplied with IsoMec3D have been given renderings from those which are available as standard with TURBOCAD Solid Modeler when it is installed. The results achieved with these renderings will depend on the type of screen or the type of colour printer you are using. Improved results can be obtained by experimenting with your own renderings. |
