Frankley Crime Fighting Team There have been a number of incidents of car
tyres being slashed overnight especially around the Brightstone Road, Quantock Close area. Can any residents with
any information on this matter please
call the Frankley crimestoppers number
with any information of who could be
responsible. This crime not only causes the victim inconvenience but is
expensive to repair. A youth from Kings Norton has been arrested
and is currently on remand in prison after a recent spate of break-ins at our
local schools. It would appear that he was
coming into our area to visit a drug den in Dartmoor Road and as a
result of anonymous information left on the Frankley crimestoppers line this
address was raided, arrests made and the premises have been boarded up.
Mini Motos Please can residents with concerns over these
machines call the Frankley
crimestoppers line with details of the address
where they believe these machines are being used from. We will visit
residents and advise on the use of these machines i.e.: they are NOT allowed on public roads,
footpaths or council owned grassed areas. They can only be used on private
premises with the permission of that land owner and not to the annoyance of neighbours. If the Police or
PCSOs stop you using one of these machines against regulations it can be
confiscated after one warning. The next community Police liaison meeting will be
held on the Thursday 15th September at 7.30pm at the Reaside community
centre on Ormond Road, Frankley. Sgt Sarah Chater will be
there to update the community on
Police work in the area and listen to any concerns from residents but in the
meantime I would urge you to report any concern on the Frankley Crimestoppers number but
always use 999 or 112 if there is a crime in progress.
I look forward to hear from you.
