OPR Avoch - 18 Feb1817.Robert Young,Merchant to Ann Young lawful daughter to
the late Alexander Young,tenant Pitfuir.Future residence Miltown of Rosehaugh.
Robert and Ann were first cousins,grandchildren of Hector Young.
Described as a meal miller on his son Alexanders M/C.
Did not leave will.


Ann Young

Stone in churchyard.The date of her death on the stone is 1821 and her age ?2..This has to be
wrong because she had a son John born 9Apr1824.Probably 1827 when she would have been 42.
Her father was Alexander Young,Tenant at Potfuir.
There are no births in the OPR for Avoch between Sept1784 and Oct1787.It was during this gap in the records that Ann was probably born.She would have been baptized but a record was not made or at least has not survived.
