his place of birth as Douglas Parish,Ayrshire.Douglas Parish is in
Lanarkshire.Eighth child Mary born New Luce Parish in 1845/6.
Arrived in Old Luce Parish(Whitecairn) between 1852/3 and April 1854 when his daughter Agnes became pregnant with Fairley McQuater Wilson.
1861 Census-Whitecairn Farm 48 acres.Living with his wife Agnes Davidson,five
of his children Robert,James,Mary,Ronald and Adam and his grand-daughter Fairley McQuaker Wilson (age 6),illegitimate child of his daughter Agnes.Thomas gives his place of birth as Crawfordjohn.

Thomas was at Craigoch,New Luce by 1876 where Fairley was married to John Hamilton.

His son David(age 32) was a ploughman and lived at the farm with his wife
Elizabeth and their four children.Also Isabella Poole(age 27) who was a
dressmaker;she was a grand-daughter of Hugh Reid.Also Agnes Templeton(age 17)
dairymaid another of his grand-daughters.
