John Tough

John was one of the Tough brothers who staked a mining claim for Harry Oakes (later Sir Harry) in nrthern Ontario, which developed into the Tough Oakes gold mine. After a court battle which the Toughs lost, the name was changed to Lakeshore Gold Mine.


Agnes Wilson

No Children of her own, but adopted one boy and one girl.


Jessie Wilson

Jessie died one day after giving birth to her daughter Jessie Wilson Crawford.


Alexander Crawford

Drowned at age 17

Died as infant.

Died of tuberculosis after two year illness.


Robert Wilson

Worked as lumberman cutting trees into logs in winter, and as river driver in spring when sawlogs were floated down the rivers while water was high.
During the summers he was forest ranger and game warden, travelling the north shore of Georgian Bay by canoe.
After marriage in 1920, Robert became a farmer.
He became Township Clerk and Treasurer in 1930 after his father Matthew retired, and held this position for more tha twenty five years.


Grant Wilson

Drowned doing repairs to peirs at canal to Hamilton Harbour.


Joseph Jackson

Joseph was a mining prospector for much of his life.


Mary Wilson

Had no children of her own but raised five foster children.
