1851 Census Corsehead Farm 40 acres arable.Living with son David,a visitor from Ireland Elizabeth Stewart who subsequently married David and one servant.
!1861 Census-Corsehead Farm 48 acres employing two servants and a dairymaid.
His son David(age 32) was a ploughman and lived at the farm with his wife
Elizabeth and their four children.Also Isabella Poole(age 27) who was a
dressmaker;she was a grand-daughter of Hugh Reid.Also Agnes Templeton(age 17)
dairymaid another of his grand-daughters.

Hugh and Mary most likely had their first six children in Ireland possibly in Donaghadee Parish.They came to Scotland about 1822/1824 and lived at Meiklebarlochart Farm.He was the tenant at Corsehead by 1837.
