This is quite an old picture of Boyton School.

Ada and Ruth were the daughters of John Wolton and lived in "Sunnyside" (now the Knoll). Ada may be the child with the white hat in the photo. She married Ernest Johnson son of Robert Johnson of The Hall, Boyton, and founder of the Colonial College, Hollesley Bay. Ruth Wolton, the younger daughter, married Charles Frederick Jacobs, a millers son from Colchester. She was a student teacher at Boyton School.
