In celebration of the Coronation in 1953 the people of the village had their photograph taken. This is the picture of the men. They include Jim Cowling, Peter Nash, Lenny Mudd , Ernie Abbott, Ted Chambers, Tom Lawrence, Ted Ward, Doug Worger, Ernie Burch, Edward Ransby, Sam Harvey, Jim Aldridge, Tommy Finlay, Ronny Abbott, Tony Jacques, Alfie Shimmon, Denis Fitzpatrick, Jim Gibson, Jimmy Foreman, Joe Abbott, Willie Spall, Alfie Curtis, Walter Foreman, Ted Baylham and Arthur Charity.

Fifty years later another village photo was taken on 30th August 2003. We are currently compiling the names of everyone in the picture. Please email me if you want a copy of the photo.
