This is Robert Hubbard Foulcher who was a farmer (of 21 acres) at High Corner in Butley in the 1880s & 1890s. His sister Margaret Hubbard Foulcher was Stella Herbert's great grandmother. It is their paternal grandmother, Mary Minter, who was the daughter of the Matthew Minter buried in Boyton in 1809. Matthew was born in Eyke & had a large family, the first few born in Eyke, Mary in Hollesley & then at least another 5 born in Boyton. No wonder he died at 41!

Mary had an elder brother John & he may be the miller, John Minter, having a son John christened in Boyton in 1820. According to the age of the mill on this website he would have had to be at an ealier mill. The family seem to have migrated to Boyton from Eyke where their roots went back a long way.

Matthew was married to Ann Lucock born in Hollesley but of a family with Orford origins.

Robert's twin sister Harriet was post mistress at Butley according to the 1891 census.
