CONTACT September 2004 Newsletter for the Parishes of HOLLESLEY ALL SAINTS & BOYTON with CAPEL From Hillside, Do you share your car when you travel to work? Do you share your vegetables and fruit when you have too much all at once? Do you share your time when you know a friend needs help? On Thursday 22nd July we shared worship with Boyton and resources with the Sudan. The Mission was celebrating 75 years of Ministry. People have worshipped in that building on that spot for 73 years. The people of Hollesley and Boyton felt that it was important to share worship, prayer and witness. We were treated to the sound of The Bromeswell Singers and afterwards to refreshments. The collection was sent to the Sudan to help them in their crisis. Jesus shared his whole life with others. He walked along roads with friends in the late evening. He went to comfort his friends when Lazarus died. He shared meals with tax collectors. He went to visit lepers on the outside of the city. Who and what will you share this month? Your willing to share priest Judith. For services this month click on September Services You are welcome to join with any of the following: BOYTON FETE Come again to a great fete. Several old favourites but with a new flavour. Thank You

HOLLESLEY HARVEST 2004 In the past we have collected old and unused tools for Tools With a Mission (TWAM). Last year we supported the homeless in Ipswich. These were both very successful and you were all very generous. Thank you. This year we will think of our friends further away, in Gambia. If you linen to Radio Suffolk as I do, you cannot have missed the appeal for educational supplies so that the children there can continue the learning that they enjoy and find rewarding. Here are things they can use: Pencils, crayons, felt tips, rubbers, pencil cases, notebooks, paper, pencil sharpeners. One idea they suggest: pencil cases containing pencils, rubber and pencil sharpener. Childrens clothes (new/nearly new) are also wanted. HOLLESLEY PLAYERS There will be an adjudication of Snow White, our Winter pantomime, on Friday 10th September, at 7.30pm, in Hollesley Village Hall. Lydia Calversbert
Good News: The Shepherd and dog has reopened with a new manager, Sarah who will welcome your custom.
