ST ANDREW

From Hillside,

Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
Hosanna In the highest heaven Matthew 21:10

Are you looking forward to the Festival of Easter? This current Christian season is called Lent . It is a time of getting ready. Our church buildings are often bare, we do not decorate with flowers, a time to get ready for the colours and freshness of Easter. Now is a time when we look at ourselves from the inside, decide what we can improve, to give a better appearance on Easter Day. Are you managing Meditations on Saturdays? I wonder if you find the time difficult, or whether you can soak up silence? Jesus found the time in The Garden of Gethsemane filled with prayer, but the disciples found it hard. Most of our lives are spent travelling through ups and downs. As Christians we have to travel through the pain, rejection, doubt and death of Holy Week to get to the glory of Easter Day and to rejoice in OUR RISEN LORD.

Yours Judith
