Bell ringing takes place before services at Hollesley church. Practice night is on Fridays from 7.30pm to 9pm. Silent practices for beginners sometimes take place at other times. A simulator is used to sound the ringing while the bells themselves are silenced with clapper stays. Pop up to the tower and see what it is all about. A quarter peal will be rung once a month at 6pm on Sundays by experienced ringers to give our own local ringers a chance to extend their skills. We always ring in the new year in on December 31st. Come up to the tower at 11.45pm and celebrate with us! For more information please contact Alan McBurnie, our Tower Captain: Tel. 01394 411517. Find out about other towers in the UK in Dove. There is lots of information at The Change Ringers Web Directory. |
